I don’t know where to begin to thank you for the amazing job you did on the sale of my childhood home. You single handedly made what I anticipated would be a miserable experience a palatable one given the emotional toll and guilt I felt when I first decided to sell. From the first time you came to see me when I was sorting through the mass amounts of stuff, you were nothing but kind and understanding. You candidly told me to take my time and perhaps not sell at that time or until I was ready. None of the other agents I interviewed said that to me. All of the others said I should sell right away. In fact, you never once pressured me the entire time. You took me by the hand from start to finish. Before I even told you I was going to list with you, you came to my home 2 additional times to let me know if I had removed enough from the home and if it was ready to go. You gave me recommendations on what to keep and what to discard and recommended a painter who was excellent. When it came time to pricing my home, you were on the lower side compared to the other prices I received however, I was not looking for an agent to give an inflated number just to get the listing. Everything you said made complete sense and you took your time going over all of the comparables to make sure I understood everything and that we were all on the same page. Your knowledge of the homes in the area was astounding. You also explained in great detail what to expect going forward so that I had first-hand knowledge of what to expect and when to expect it. When the buyer tried to renegotiate the deal asking for a substantial credit, the advice you gave me was spot on. You handled the situation with such grace and professionalism. I was very appreciative of the options you gave me for all of the updates. Being a Doctor, my time is extremely limited so I was delighted to be able to receive updates via text that I could read and respond to when I had the time. Given this was one of the most emotional and stressful events of my life, having you by my side the entire time was nothing short of a miracle. Your genuine concern still resonates with me. You were calm, patient, caring and professional. Lastly, you really did act as a therapist and negotiator between my sister and I and helped keep peace in the family and that is just priceless. I won’t hesitate to sing your praises and refer you to my friends, colleagues and family.
I am writing about my experience with Mark Goldsmith. My girlfriend and I had the good fortune of meeting Mark at an open house in Sherman Oaks. We were instantly impressed by Mark’s friendly and professional demeanor. At the time we met Mark, I had 12346 Otsego Street in Valley Village on the market for $1,160,000. It had been listed for almost 6 months with very little activity. I felt it was time to make a change. We had interviewed other agents, but Mark’s professional presentation was foremost in my mind. When I invited Mark to the property he made several suggestions to improve its presentation. When Mark visited a second time, he clearly presented his marketing strategy. We were already impressed by Mark’s style and his enthusiasm only made the decision easier. I signed the listing agreement that day. When the listing was again active, I was instantly impressed by the level of service and communication. Both Mark and his team provided detailed reports of activity levels after open houses as well as comments made by attendees. They created an amazing write-up about the property and were quick to show us every medium in which an ad appeared. After only two weeks on the market with Mark, I was pleased to hear we had an offer. I wasn’t surprised to learn that Mark found the buyer himself at another open house. When he realized the Otsego property would fit her needs, he immediately sent her there. In my opinion, Mark’s team’s presentation of the property convinced the buyer to write an offer quickly. I was impressed again during the twenty-day escrow. Mark made sure every detail was addressed properly. Even throughout escrow, Mark and his team continued to hold the house open on Sundays and take back-up offers. They handled the buyer’s very difficult agent professionally while protecting my best-interest. We feel very fortunate we decided to visit open houses that day. We look forward to many more successful transactions with Mark Goldsmith and with your office.
I don’t know where to start in thanking you for the amazing job you did selling my Father’s home. As this was my childhood home, it was an extremely emotional and somewhat traumatic experience for me that without you, would likely not have come to fruition the way it did. I will always remember and cherish the connection that developed between us from the moment we met. I was impressed by your comprehensive knowledge of the real estate market not just in our immediate area but throughout the entire city. As you spoke to me, it was clear that you took my home and my interests very personally. It was as if you were proudly selling your own home. You took so much of your time patiently and graciously walking through every step from preparing my home for sale to the marketing and closing. You were available to me for even the simplest of questions and always responded to me immediately. You made me feel like I was your only client. At a challenging time where no open houses were allowed, your phenomenal marketing plan brought so many Buyers to my home that we had offers in the first week above asking. Having no idea what to do as a seller, you explained in great detail all of my responsibilities so that there were no surprises. In fact, at our very first sit-down, I recall you telling me how you yourself don’t like surprises and how you like to know everything there is to know so there are no surprises. You were straightforward and honest with me every step of the way. I never felt pressured or pushed towards something I didn’t feel comfortable with. All of this was not what I had expected when I first began my search for a real estate agent. I cannot thank you enough and look forward to enthusiastically recommending and insisting on you to all of my friends and colleagues. I would be happy to talk to any of your future clients interested in hiring you.
Keren and I wanted to thank you for all of your help with our recent real estate transactions. Though buying and selling a house can never be described as simple and stress-free, we are both delighted with our recent experience with you and your excellent team. To begin, you graciously walked us through every step from the preparation of our home for the sale to the marketing to the closing. Your personal touch and availability to address even the most mundane of questions was extremely helpful. I still recall when I asked you if you were familiar with the market in our neighborhood and you answered, “Yes, I’ve been doing this for a while.” What a modest understatement! Your first rate marketing plan brought so many people through our open houses that we had offers well above asking price and were able to enter escrow in days! Thinking back on this, my head still spins. On the other side of the transaction, you helped line up our purchase of our current home with grace. When questions came up or additional negotiations were needed, there was never a problem. When we had to get our paperwork completed on December 31 so we could close at the start of the year, you didn’t miss a beat. You always answered with the same response, “my pleasure.” Mark, I really believe this. You derive joy and satisfaction from walking people through one of the single most stressful events of their lives. You do this calmly, patiently, and with genuine concerns for your clients. While I hope I don’t have to sell my current home for a while, I would immediately pick up the phone to ask for assistance from you if I did. My hope is that I can drive many, many people to use your services in recognition of the care you provided for me and my family. I’d be happy to talk with anyone about my experience. Thanks again for everything you have done!
Francie joins me in thanking you for the excellent representation you provided us when we recently sold our house. As our agent you made the experience palatable notwithstanding the emotional impact of moving from our family residence of more than forty-five years. We will always remember and cherish the personal connection that quickly developed between us from the inception. We particularly note your outstanding knowledge of the current real estate market not only in our location but throughout Southern California. We start with the detailed analysis you made of the house. We felt you were aware of every inch of our house. and took on the assignment as if you, yourself, stood as the proud owner of the home. Next, you exercised patience and remained upbeat throughout the experience of selling our House. You always encouraged us, explained each and every step of selling a home, and repeated when we needed reinforcement. It goes without saying that you were always there for us. You had our best interests at heart, but at the same time cautioned us to be realistic and not get too emotionally tied to the house. That professionalism truly shows in your personality. Finally, any prospective seller should be fortunate to have you as an ally during the process of navigating through selling a home. Always being on time, maintaining a smile, and giving us complete reports from all visitors to our house are virtues that few realtors possess. Mark, we are truly appreciative of having you as our broker and friend. I stand ready, willing and able to communicate with anyone considering you as her or his broker. Please feel free to provide such person(s) with my contact information. Take care. We look forward to keeping in touch.
We are writing you this letter to express our praise and gratitude for our buyer’s agent, Mark Goldsmith. Mark has earnestly worked with us from early January 2009 and has recently helped us close on a “house we absolutely love”. At the onset of our house search, we originally contacted another Westside real estate office, and the agent helping us sent us one e-mail with listings and then no correspondence afterwards. In retrospect, we are grateful for that experience as it ultimately led us to connect with Mark Goldsmith. From our first phone call and meeting with Mark, we felt reassured that we had someone with the character, expertise and commitment that we were hoping for in an agent. Throughout our home search and home buying process, Mark has not only shown how adept and knowledgeable he is in the field of real estate, he has also shown a wonderful and caring personality that adapts well to his client’s needs. To us, Mark has always been a gentleman, and we have witnessed the high level of professionalism he provides to not only his clients but also to other agents and parties involved in the home buying process. He has exuded warmth, patience and loyalty, and we have been so grateful to have had such a well-rounded agent supporting us through every transaction. Overall, we feel extremely blessed that our paths crossed with Mark Goldsmith. We would not hesitate to recommend him and your office to family and friends and would think of no one else for our future real estate needs.
Mark’s professional philosophy is that his clients deserve and should be told the truth (even if they don’t want to hear it) as opposed to what they want to hear. Mark has earned a reputation of honesty and integrity, not just with his clients but also among his peers.
